Cartridgeman Music maker
Some things in HiFi really do live up to the hype extolled upon them my the press or forums. The original Inca Tech Claymore amplifier is a good example. Great design, great sound quality and a sensible price. The same cannot be said in my view anyway of the Cartridgeman Music Maker cartridge. I may be the only man on the earth who thinks so but it's overpriced mediocrity at best and and boring at worsed. I have just compared it to a stock Pickering i got free with a Gyrodec about 20 years ago and there is absolutely no difference in sound. So at £750+ someone is taking the piss methinks. Thankfully i have merely borrowed this cartridge from a friend who has since moved it on. Really tiring of these urban myths.
