    I have a link to an article on spikes which asks how they can decouple, given that in running shoes they do the opposite, and also that nails are used to fix things - DC coupling in effect.

    My ADAMs have their own spikes, which no doubt do stop rocking, but I am concerned that they may conduct vibration through the floorboards.

    His bit on silicon only being a semi conductor is also crap. Yeh, sure it's a semi conductor, and obviously integrated circuits are no good, that's why lighter, smaller, faster, more accurate and stable silicon computer chips failed so badly at replacing valve based computers. Oh. Hang on a minute.....
