Wow - now thinking of all the equipment I used to see in the shops in Tottenham Court Road when I used to work just around the corner!

No it should be on any browser. Think main one is reply with quote. That should add the contents of that post into your reply. It's at bottom of the post you wish to reply to

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Any prospective buyer knows this, it's a none issue.
I strongly disagree. The main point is many top spec parts DON'T have modern counterparts. Often not even anything remotely similar or suitable. As far as epoxy potted modules goes well unless Sony still has stock of replacement modules then if one fails that's it... game over.

To be fair, while you make a lot of sense, Jez, this stuff is still worth a punt. The only thing I'd possibly suggest is putting them on eBay and start the bidding off at £0.00

This Sony gear has a lot of worldwide fans and the wider the audience the higher the price goes. The pre amp was set up to complement the Sony PS-X9 which is possibly the best DD ever made <opinion only. The equaliser is a rare as hen's teeth and will command a huge price if a couple of people are missing it to complete a system. The Power amps unfortunately aren't as valuable as other models due to less power than others and also they made heaps of them. Put them on separately and as long as PayPal is used as payment you won't get scammed.

All this info was gleaned from TVK.

How does that work? You receive payment by Paypal, you ship the goods, buyer opens a dispute, Paypal refund him, now you have no Sony Esprit and no money. Am I missing something?

I'm pretty honest, mainly buying on ebay, rarely I have a problem buying, either not receiving the item which perhaps had no tracking, or receiving an item that was faulty, usually the supplier corrects things, but in the cases that they haven't, ebay/ paypal has refunded me even though I supplied no real proof. This could of course be used by unscrupulous buyers.

Start a dispute how? Tracked and insured postage, video evidence of it working. I've sold multiple items overseas. Never had a spot of bother.
