    Default Wharfedale W3’s

There is a pair for sale near me , knobs on the top are missing. I could have them looking like new but are they popular?

They are too rare to be popular. Would be an interesting renovation though. if you can get them back to near mint there would probably be a vintage collector who would be interested in having them.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Worth having just for the bass drivers. The mid will be a little lacking in resolution, but the tweeters are actually pretty good. They'll make a decent sound though. Hope they're cheap!

The Japanese go potty over sixties British speakers, but personally, I'd not pay more than say eighty quid.

Oh. And they're probably 15 or 16 ohm and highly efficient, so ideal for use with low power valve amps.

Buy them cheap for the bass drivers. Pair those with cheap compression drivers and big horn flares and you have pretend Altecs!

Poor power handling. They can sound nice in the right cabinets, but 'pop' at the slightest excuse! I've done it.
