No Signalling = Arrogance : Why should I tell you where I am going, it's none of your business. It is simply an extension of the "I want to and so I will" attitude that pervades society "I will do what I want, when I want" and I don't give a shit about anyone else.

I couldn't agree more - and I utterly ABHOR that attitude.

That why the behaviour of people today needs to be controlled more by law, in many important aspects of life, as quite clearly, many of them are unwilling or incapable of behaving properly themselves!

I simply can't abide driving around in an 'old shed'. I like my cars to look immaculate, inside and out (and keep them that way), no matter what I've paid for it, as it pisses me off otherwise. When I open the door, I need to feel that I'm stepping inside something that's 'nice', and which continually delivers that 'feel-good factor'...

However, maybe your old Volvo is a minter, or it does precisely that too, for you?

Although an engineer, all modern cars are pretty well beyond me sorting everything out if it went wrong, expensive. I am happy that I can fix almost anything on the old brick, self reliant, not that anything much has ever gone wrong. It's in very respectable condition too. The only advisory during it's last MOT was "It's in nice nick mate". Still, if my Premium Bond comes up with a big win, I shall be buying the very rare Rolls Canardly.

Totally get and appreciate that, Alex. I'm no engineer, so I leave all required in-depth 'fettling' and maintenance to trusted experts.

I love classic cars, but mainly for their looks and build quality, as the fact is they simply don't handle anything like as well as most good modern cars, let alone something that's been judiciously (read as, expertly) modified/improved with the highest quality bespoke modern parts.

What's a Rolls Canardly? I'm unfamiliar with that particular model.
