    Default Dilema

So there's a guy on eBay wth a pair of my dream speakers at a sensible price. I don't have all the cash, and won't for a few weeks. I asked if he was in a hurry for the money and he said we could arrange the sale out of eBay and he was advertising on another site and to contact him through there. His feedback on both is excellent. They've been listed on the other site for 3 months - which I find surprising. It's 3 countries away from me so driving to collect them is impossible. But I reckon, and rightly so, he's gonna ask for a hefty deposit by transfer. oh what the f*ck to do...

Are you sure that the seller is genuine? Dealing outside eBay leaves you with no rights whatsoever if something goes wrong, or if the sale turns out to be fraudulent.

What worries me is that they are very sought after and listed at the right price for SH - but have been around 3 months. We're taking £6k so not small change. I HATE doing business outside of eBay but understand there's no other way if I'm going have them with a deposit and then full cash later. My sensible head says wait until you've got the cash and do it right. My heart says buy them! Bugger...
