seriously ? is that correct ?
ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

I'd not go for a Boxter.

My tastes are more rudimentary. For fun an older Caterham 7 with an old low tech engine with carburettors that I can play with (wonder if a 2.0 twin spark Alfa engine from a 75 with a couple of big Webers could be shoehorned in? ). For trundling about the countryside with the dog, an ex-military LWB non-turbo Land Rover, in drab matt Army Green would suit. A comfy modern MPV for carting family about too.

Anything overtly ostentatious is a definite NoNo! Regardless of wealth!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

There are underlying truths which almost certainly limit the extent to which Hi-Fi can improve as the technology currently stands.

Let's assume that we pay whatever is needed for; perfect drivers, be it single, two, three or four way, absolutely flat, zero distortion and perfect phase, throughout the Xovers as well.

We still have drivers in a box, spaced apart, with different F ranges coming from different points, feeding us a signal which is itself from a mic, which captures a small angle of forward directed sound which is itself already containing some room effects from the performance room.

These latter compromises themselves are an inherent limitation which will be heard and cannot be overcome even with the above perfection.

So in the real world position we are in, the results of design aspirations are limited by this and are asymptotic to it, and we pay more and more to get nearer the driver perfection, if we are lucky, and if not we get lovely finishes and industrial design jewellery for £ks.

With the idiots out there on the roads today, a T35 has great appeal
