Default California Audio Labs Delta CD Transport

California Audio Labs Delta CD Transport

Rare 240v version. Plenty on the web about these mid 1990's units.

I also have a rebuilt CAL Alpha Dac for sale.

Superb in stock form however I sent this unit to PartsConnexion in Canada to be upgraded (ex-Sonic Frontiers owners). I've only owned this transport for 11 months but that is actually the longest I've ever owned a transport - it is absolutely superb! Read the reviews of the stock unit to see how low the noise/jitter is.

A LOT has been done to this unit:

    1) New laser fitted November 2016.

    2) RCA output (coax) is now WBT NexGen gold plated copper. These are true 75 ohm construction.

    3) Internal digital wiring was swapped out to Illuminati true 75 ohm.

    4) HiFi Tuning Silver Star fuse.

    5) Feet upgraded to EAR large variety.

    6) 11 x electrolytic capacitors swapped out to Nichicon Fine Gold types.

    7) Sound Coat chassis dampening added.

    8) Furutech gold plated copper IEC input socket with EMI filter.

    9) Billed 3 hours labour.

Total mod work was $380 excluding the shipping and cost of the Dac to start with.

Small foot print - shoe box sizing. Sounds incredible and I'm happy to demo.

These have a big following in the US and a rare find here. As from the mid 90's condition is like 8/10. The cd tray trim was lost so it now has a high gloss Perspex trim added in place which is about. 9/10 fit - no one would know .

Remote control works but is some what tatty.

Who ever buys this will be well chuffed!

Looking for £410 incl post within UK. Will post to Europe for an extra £30.
