There is an SP10 mk2 on eBay and indeed has been up for for quite some time at £2,500 just the motor and psu, outrageous price, think it's been on and off for at least two years or more.

Theybwill increase in value due to their popularity surge. It will happen.

To some extent yes but £2500 is taking the piss, I think originally the seller had it up for £3200, the fact it hasn't sold says something.

I wouldn't pay that, would rather get a 1200G or simply something else like a gyro or something similar.

Why? I would have thought the opposite. If I was in the market I would get the 10R over an old 10, and a 1200GR over any old 1200. At £1100 for a brand new GR with better motor, bearing and platter I can't see why anyone would pay current asking prices for a used SL1200 let alone NOS ones.

Absolutely agree, the GR model is a no brainer against even a nos mk2.

Aren't we discussing SP10s? It will increase the popularity of the MK2 & MK3. Anyone looking at SP10 won't be looking at the 1210 will they?

You're right. Id be interested to see what happens to SP10 II and III prices once the 10R is available.

So, anyone else notice an increase in the SP10 MK2 Prices?

They've been trickling up forever, all decks have.

If people upgrade via dealers to the new ones expect 2nd hand prices to rise, if they just sell them privately and take the cash to upgrade expect the prices to drop.

I just read the review on HFN yesterday and it read as a most impressive deck that could teach other, equally or more expensive, turntables a lesson or two in proper engineering.
    My system:

    6. Roister (that's a Greek loudspeaker company) OFC speaker cables
