I think Naim may have done with the SBL.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Ah yes, the (literal) “wall of sound” presentation. I think the Bose 901 can qualify here too. Not deliberately imaging badly, just not seeing it as any sort of priority.

Yes, mine are wired out of phase.

Although the final alignment is open to alteration, f3 is inversely proportional to V cubed in the formula Martin.

Not sure if the Linn Isobariks were "deliberately designed to image badly", but precise, stable imaging they did not do: the image drifted all over the place!

Don't they have a forward firing mid and tweeter plus another set on top of the speaker firing upwards? Neither fish nor fowl.

#desire - not just the Tannoys (whoa!) but that Technics!

Interesting that Tannoy now have the Legacy series with its more 'neutral' version of retro styling, and of course something like the DC10A follows the classic dual concentric approach, while being thoroughly modern and glossy. Love the Prestige stuff though.

Agree about the Isobariks, asking for trouble with 2 mids and 2 tweeters imaging wise, but lovely bass.

Perhaps a little ordinary compared to some here - as not so old and certainly not so rare - but they work for me.
