Might have done you a favour really.

The L100 Century is more 'disco' than Hi-Fi. OK for parties, but not for serious music listening on a good system.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

No. I won't have that. They may not be the most transparent and refined of speakers but they are way better speakers than most of the UK flat earth tat that gets routinely rated as 'classics'.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

That LE20 tweeter has a 'sizzle' to it, the cardboard coned mid honks at you and the bass driver intrudes into the lower mid. The bass is tight from the driver, but the cabinet is underdamped, so you get odd sounds from the port. Other than that they are just dandy!

They were something I'm very interested in trying. I've heard a couple of jbl speakers now and like what I've heard so far.
    Technics SL1210 with
SME IV Arm & AT OC9XML,
Firebottle modded Tron Convergence Phono Stage,
Bluesound Node 2i, Technics SL DZ 1200 CD
    Denon PMA1700ne amp
    Yamaha NS1000M Speakers.

Keep an eye out for the vintage L65 Jubal. I quite like those. Very nice top end from the slot lens tweeter.

Decent jbls seem to be few and far between when your looking to buy

If I had the money, I'd seriously like to try a pair of JBL S2600. That's a 12" bass driver by the way, so you can see they're not exactly small speakers.

These are worth investigating, the JBL L212 system; towers + sub woofer

They were almost affordable when they came out. About £3.5K I think. That was in the 'Nineties though when I didn't even have 3.5 pence. You'd be very lucky indeed to find any for sale in the UK.
