    Default RCA Help!

My stereo interconnect cable are terminated with Audio Note AN-P RCA plugs.

The plugs are chunky, and fairly wide. On my equipment, fitting the second plug is a tight squeeze

Would it be possible to buy some type of RCA adaptors, that can also space things out a little?

Do they actually fit and work Shane?

If so, what is your concern?
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

An RCA plug is should be designed to fit an RCA socket. If it doesn't, either the plug or the socket are 'not fit for purpose'.

It's not the plug and socket per se that Shane is having a problem with - it's the narrow (close) spacing of the sockets, causing the two wide-bodied plugs not to mate securely.

I figured that might be the problem. That's why I asked for a photo. If that is the case, changing the plugs might be best.

I can see the problem Shane.

The photos highlight another issue. It's a thick cable and will require plugs with a broad entry, any of which may produce the same result.

Adding some kind of adaptor to avoid the crowding at the sockets rather defeats the point of having a decent cable.

I guess you could speak to Audio Note though. They may be able to help.
