Some time ago I read on the Harbeth forum that LFD, Sugden and Naim are all good matches.

I could loan you my TQ Claymore integrated that I've just bumped back up the sale pages until you bought something.

It's just sitting in a cupboard doing nothing

Do you not have a half decent back-up amp to use for now Matt? I always keep one handy.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

One is the back-up (my JVC AX-A441). The six or so others are just sort of 'there' .

Hi Steve ... strangely enough, if I had the same question, I'd probably have asked ... you!
Have you ever tried a Marantz PM-4, or maybe something like a Yamaha CA1000 ... class A transistor jobs? Years back, I really liked a second generation Sugden A21a with the original P3s, which was a much better match than the specs would indicate.

Steve, I have an XTZ A100 if you want to have a borrow of it and see how it goes? Switchable between class A and AB and comes with a remote control.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.
