    Provided you've got a good turntable I don't believe the weight is important, maybe just reassuring. Mine sounded great just sat in the plinth not screwed down.

    Hi you mentioned a, plinth like pauls you would like, i know a paul who has put a sony tts 8000 in a delrin/ mdf one layered one and the difference is night n day and its not a fortune.
