“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Yes that Firebottle-Tron is VERY good. Had it on loan for a week and was the first time I experienced holographic sound. How did it compare to the Paradise? Favourably I presume due to staying plugged in

That was a lovely afternoon Sandro, you were a great host thanks.

Some interesting tunes (a few things I'd never heard before so I'll check them out again on tidal) and a very good sounding system, again mostly kit I'd not come across before.

The paradise phono stage I know nothing about but it was interested to compare and contrast between that and the Tron. For my money the Tron seemed to have a fuller weightier & more 3d sound to it. I also found it a bit more grin inducing if you get my drift.

I've invited Sandro over to mine next week for a "rematch" so hopefully that will work out.

    Cheers again

How good was the Tron??? You got to read between the lines
Maybe equal levels, the Tron has a bit more gain than the paradise would have made it more even (not being confrontational just point to be dully noted)

Yes it was good I quite agree about the Tron what can I say apart that I did not ask for a swap the second time what more can I say ...
a yes now that I remember
I have already been in touch whit Firebbotle Both Phone and PM (that was quick) as Ben said the Tron has had a bit of mods carried out by him
Landlord! I will have same of that as well please

I should state that as far as I know the Firebottle Tron was a 1 off, I've no idea how much better (or not) it is than a standard Tron unit.

But I certainly like what it does do.
