Seems the grandson of the founder is to restart production-

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

I visited Lockwood at their Harrow works in the seventies. I lived just around the corner. Business seemed to be rather slow at the time, maybe they were winding down. There did not appear to be much being made. It was an interesting place though.

(also dropped by Jordan Watts in Hayes about the same time, they were much busier)

I hope the 'new' Lockwood succeed, but now is not a great time to launch a major enterprise, considering the unstable and unpredictable state of world commerce currently.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
