    tea is quite astringent, so maybe that is cuts through the fatty residue in mouth

    That's the sort of thought I had. I noticed that it's good after a fry up decades ago.

    I should add that I don't take sugar in tea, that may change things.

    Cold butter chicken curry. Cured beef with coriander and garlic. Mozzarella with sun dried tomato. Middle Eastern spiced chicken thighs.

    All picked at with fingers. Seriously nice mix of stuff.
