Plenty of grunt with the Harley engine. Relaxed cruising machines.

    That was about 1981.
Oh shit, now we're really talking. Back in '76 I had a KH250 but around 1997 I bought a vintage H2C, 750 triple. I kept it for around three months and then passed it on to a guy somewhere around Kent. A true pleasure to have owned such a bike but Jesus the handling was appalling. The truth is that the bike I always wanted to own was indeed a Mach III, 500. We shall sadly never see the likes of them ever again. Truly blessed to have been there. Totally humbled.

Yes John, that is exactly what I intend to do from now on.

If those Jap tossers want to come screaming the nuts off their engines to get past me then that is fine with me. When I later pass them in the ditch at the side of the road I'll give them a nice wave as I pass, slowly.

another advantage of a harley is you are less likely to speed around like a 15 year old on his first bike. roads nowadays are far to crowded to do that. cruise at a slower rate and wink at the girls

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Yer don't have much choice about not speeding around when riding a 2 wheel traction engine! Now that Mach III 500 is more like it

Often if you haven't anything nice to say, best saying nothing is best.

Nice bike Shaun. I am not a biker, but I can appreciate a nice bike and that is a nice bike.

Rode a moped once many years ago but always fancied a tasty bike, even tho I'm more of a sports bike fan I would have a Harley just for the looks of the thing...

Thank you Neil. The negative comments usually come from those who only wish.
