I drank quite a bit of water, but not enough! Because next day, it was not nice straining on the toilet, quite worrying at the time, were the stitches going to burst!

Yes, constipation, I would drink plenty of water too. I didn't drink enough. Straining on the toilet was worrying.

Also the day I returned home from hospital, could not get comfortable in any chair, ended sitting in my old Volvo, very comfortable seat in there!

About to have this, which Del's just made for tonight's dinner, having only had a sandwich for lunch:

Recipe here, for those who may interested in making it: http://www.ginger-jar-food.com/recip...cider-mustard/

Along with the thin green beans, we're having some fresh carrot batons and wild rice. Vino will be a rather lovely (chilled) Comte de Provence:

    Can't wait to tuck in!!

Don't know what it's called in Italian but we are having Mussels cooked in tomato/garlic sauce with Linguini. We often have this dish, which is really good value because a bag of live mussels is only around £3.50.

    Linguini al sugo di cozze

Very nice, Dave, although traditionally it'd be served with clams, not mussels.
