Andy, your Bolognaise sauce looks very good - and that's from an Italian!

Wee tip (if you hadn't considered it already), serve it with tagliatelle, instead of spaghetti:

1) Because the sauce will stick to the pasta better, and if you buy good quality egg tagliatelle, they'll taste nicer than spaghetti.

2) In Italy, there's no such thing as Spag Bol... It would always be known as Tagliatelle al Ragu, 'ragu' being the Bolognaise sauce.

Anyway, looks great. I'd be having that with a nice bottle of Chianti Riserva DOCG, and some crusty bread. Enjoy!

Really looking forward to dinner tonight, not sure what I'll have but I've been on antibiotics the last couple of weeks and suffering what's best described as gastric Armageddon. Now my appetite has returned I fancy something simple but tasty, I've got some Porky White's Surry sausages in the fridge that are calling my name and along with creamy mashed potato and grilled mushrooms I think I'm sorted. Picture to follow if it all goes to plan and no relapses into nausea lol.

Yeah, Melba. Works really well with pâté. Btw, most of that stuff in the picture was bought from Lidl. And they say only chavs shop there to buy cheap shit? Little do they know...

Yeah, pappardelle work well with a ragu sauce. Just what you can get hold of really, and either will be better than spaghetti. And by the way, it's 'cinghiale'
