Looks good, Russell, but for an Italian (which I know you're not), way too much topping... No doubt it was tasty, though!

Ok, didn't have time to have a proper lunch earlier (as I was working in the garden), so tonight's 'tea' became dinner:

14-day aged sirloin steak (from locally sourced Welsh beef), in a demi-glace sauce with parsley-coated mushrooms, served medium rare, with fresh green beans, peas, and chunky chips coated in Pommes-Frites Würzsalz [a special salt for chips, from Germany, which contains chili, paprika and curry powder], see here:

It's delicious - as indeed was the whole meal!

I know! Some idiots with no taste. Trust me, that salt works a STORM on chips! Cheers, the steak did slip down rather nicely...

All that was missing was a nice bottle of red, which sadly is off-limits for another 4 weeks.

Do you mean there wasn't enough? Don't like too many.

Leftovers from lunch. Doesn’t look like much but there’s quite a bit hiding in there.

Chicken thighs with roast veg. Spicy roast potatoes, mashed sweet potato and carrot and green beans sauteed in butter and garlic with parmesan. All with some lovely chicken gravy.

    Big flavours going on today.

You never explained what you meant about the chips comment
