    Sticking with rice and noodles for now Garry. Think it's lower in carbs and easier digested. I do like pasta so might try some wholewheat stuff sometime.

    You could do the 'resistant starch' trick of cooking the pasta, cooling it down and then reheating it later. Apparently makes the pasta act like a fibre (resists producing glucose by about 50%). Reheated pasta is apparently much healthier than a 'normal' carb.
