I have Prime but only occasionally dip into Amazon music. But prompted by this thread turned it on. Even though only 256k the sound is very good. Some cool 'stations' and 'playlists'.

Couple of nits - seems that there no standalone Amazon Music player and also not possible to remote control - both of which Spotify does v well. There is a huge thread somewhere on Amazon imploring Amazon to create a remote function.

I'm streaming Amazon from a dedicated music computer using Firefox to a DAC via USB and from there to preamp etc.

Think there might be some upsampling going on in my case, as I've fed the FireTv through my Oppo bluray player.
My Dac shows the samplerate of what it's being fed and FireTv playing shows 48K.

No optical out on the latest generation box as Grant says, and didn't buy it for music, so this is an unexpected bonus.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Audio Al,

Just realized this quote was not for you !

A Mr Numpty evening with too much Red Wine and music overload.

My deepest apologies I am indeed sorry.... it's an age problem.

Perhaps, just too excited listening to my new Speakers... Revolver Cygnis.... hence a glass or two or three or four.... can't remember.

I'm sure others have been there (replying to the wrong post)

My comments were not meant for this particular post.

Sorry again from the old git
