they have little to lose doing this I guess as they receive nothing bar ads at moment. Think their pricing is aimed at business and not at normal occasional users on forums. If you put 1 pic on a day its going to cost about £1.25 a picture. My deal with the shack is pretty cheap but have to wonder for how much longer it will stay that way

    Hi Paul,

Do you not still have the images stored on your computer hard drive?

If so, just upload them again using an alternative method (as shown here) or hosting company, and replace the most recent/relevant pics on your Gallery thread. I use Imageshack, with no such problems as you've (or others here have) experienced with PB.

Would be a shame to lose all your pics

Marco, I would prefer to just delete the thread. It's taken two unbelievably frustrating hours just to download my own albums from photobucket. There's no way I've the patience to wade through my thread replacing the images. Life's too short. The sooner I can forget photofuckit the better. I've already deleted my account. The best I can do is to start a new thread with some edited highlights at some point soon.

I don't get this, I only uploaded a bunch of pictures to Photobucket yesterday and linked to them no problem - I don't pay anything. The adverts are exceedingly annoying though and massively slow the site down.

I think they're phasing it in across their customer base. Your time will come.

Method to upload photos to site...

Click on your username at top. On next page down left hand side there is a section called albums. Click on more, then on create album. Give it a title and description, leave it public and save.
Then click upload pictures, the add files. Add files which should show in a row below. Once you have the ones you want in that row, click done at bottom right. Then save changes button.

Now when you click on that pic, you willl receive a bb code at bottom.. post that directly into your post( no brackets are needed at they have been added).
    Done...

Just checked some of the NEBO and my gallery threads.

    All ferked..

To replace and upload them now seems tiresome and a bit pointless, I'm just gutted that a historical record of my contribution here has effectively gone and as I'm not really posting so much nowadays, it is unlikely it will ever come back. This will apply to all but the most diehard members here who ever used photobucket.

As I said before it's a total dick move by them, I'll be deleting my account with them and removing the app from my devices. I really do hope they choke on this.
One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

Look Pic and ImageBam also work, require no account and are free. Think you may be limited to thumbnails with one of these.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
