Default Almarro A318B 6C33 tubed single ended amp with upgrades

As per title - needs no introduction.

In immaculate condition with original packaging. Plenty on the web about these however this one has additional benefits. 18w class A with extended highs and potent bass.

This is a later model which means the selector switch is an Alps type and the volume pot is an Alps Blue (earlier models had Alpha pots and selectors). The Alps are more reliable and sound better.

6C33's have about 250 hours on them.
3 x 6SL7's will come with the amp being two of the original Reflektor types and a Philips Jan short black plate variety with about 50 hours on the clock. As this is the 1st tube in the signal, this makes a massive difference.
2 x 6SN7's - 1 is of the original Russian types and then a Motorola with 75 hours on it (likely a rebranded RCA).

    So the upgrades:
    1) 0.22uF coupling caps now Clarity Cap MR (upgraded from the Orange Drop type)
    2) 0.47uF coupling caps now Clarity Cap MR (upgraded from Russian oil types)
    3) Feet upgraded to EAR Large compliant types (over the original plastic ones)
    4) Under chassis cover sound dampened with Sound Coat (and a little inside the amp)
    6) RCA inputs upgraded from the nasty nickel plated brass variety to specially imported Vampire Wire pure copper bodied types gold plated (a difficult mod).
    7) Fuse now a HiFi Tuning Silver Star

Sounds amazing - more detailed and a smoother presentation over the stock model but a vastly improved sound stage (the much deeper depth is the most obvious improvement).

    £SOLD - collected or £20 to post. I'm in Gloucester near J12 M5.

The Almarro is a truly fantastic amp, I have had one in the past.
Well worth buying and is a very good price too.

Thanks for the positive comments. The original components (caps, feet and sockets) will also be supplied if anyone chose to return the amp to original status.

One of the best amp which I had. Look & sound lovely.
Still angry for myself that I sold it to ugly man
    All the best Robert.
