I'm Tony.
Can anyone identify this speaker cable?
It's from my (deceased) father's set-up, and all I know about it is that "it was damn expensive" - that's a quote from my mother.
She has no need of the set-up, but any extra cash would come in handy. So, I'm trying to discover whether it's worth getting the cable out from under the carpet. There's probably c 10m in total.

Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.
Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.
Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.

I've seen that cable before, but the maker's name escapes me at the moment. I do recall that it is rather exotic and expensive. I have Nordost Flatline, but that has a slightly different appearance.
I'm just wondering if it's Tara Labs or Transparent Audio or MIT. Those names spring to mind.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

It looks like 'Red Dawn' which was one of the cables made before Nordost as we know it now was formed. I'll have a look and see if I can confirm.

When Nordost started selling in the U.K., nearly thirty years ago, they started with two speaker cables, Red Dawn and Blue Heaven. The RD was copper conductor based and the BH was silver and a bit wider. I see that Nordost have since reinvented Red Dawn and it looks rather different to how it did back in the day.

The cable in question is not Red Dawn though.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
