Lol, well that's obviously currently the case in Scotland, highlighted among other things, by 7 SPL titles in a row!

They'll defo be playing for cup final places in the Aberdeen game, plus they'll want to beat one of their biggest rivals on the last game of the season, on their home patch. They certainly won't want to go into the cup final, on the back of a defeat, so if Rangers do what they need to do, that should give them second place.

not sure they went out with intent to throw games. thats a dangerous thing to do, but players often dont give their all, shall we say
i'd expect a few players that dont sit in first 11 to play. they will probably try to catch the eye for the final. the others wont want to pick up an injury and wont maybe give 100%.
for the other 3 sides its a cup final, so celtic should both field their strongest side and should win, if they are the team they think they are. nothing else is acceptable. sure brendan will see it that way too....more or less

You see? I knew we'd drop points last night against Kilmarnock [0-0], although it was with six changes to the team. I guess it was a bit of a 'nothing' game for both sides, as we'd already won the title, and Killie had no chance of finishing any higher than 5th.

We'll see how 'focussed' the players are on Sunday, in the final game against Aberdeen... I'm not expecting Rodgers to field anything other than the strongest team available to him, and for Celtic to want to win, especially at home and a week before the cup final.

However, it's arguable that a win is more important for Aberdeen, and they've got to beat us sometime! We'll see

yup, hibs out of the reckoning pretty much too so, if dons get anything from celtic then gers need to win. still think the ball is in aberdeens court. rangers guaranteed europe and third.

Well, what was that result like today from Easter Road (5-5)? Just mental... I'll need to watch the match later on Sportscene!

Am I 'happy' that because Celtic lost 0-1 to Aberdeen, it denied Rangers second place in the league? AM I FUCK!! I was still cheering Celtic on in the dying minutes, hoping for an equaliser, so we wouldn't have lost out unbeaten home record, even if that meant Rangers finishing second!

Only the brain dead/idiotic Celtic fans would've wanted their team to lose at home, in the final league game of the season, when the championship trophy was being handed out, just to stop Rangers finishing second

Count me out of that pish....

Anyway, so much for 'building some momentum' before the cup final next weekend against Motherwell (although Aberdeen did deserve to win, as they wanted it more) - some of the Celtic players better get their act together and stop swanning around the place, considering that the job is done and prematurely thinking about their summer holidays!!
