Do you (a) go down to the runaway league leaders and keep your self respect intact, or (b) embarrass yourselves by failing to beat the one team that's almost dead cert to get relegated?

The way they fought and came back in the derby was creditable, and it meant that we needed 6 points to take the title - it wasn't nailed down.
We beat Tottenham convincingly, to need a further 3 points to seal the title.
That they shot themselves in the foot was unimaginable and embarrassing

Wasn't clever was it. But the chosen one's tactics are pretty basic these days. Football has moved on a bit and as you say there are no easy wins

Surprised he got an extension tbh

If they'd played all season like they played in the second half of the last derby, then the title would probably have gone down to the wire.
I think the players have a huge burden of responsibility for failing to do so - they have been carried by de Gea and some miraculous goalkeeping for the last few seasons.

Pogba is referred to as MIA around here

So, what do folk think on the talk of Stevie Gerrard becoming Gers Manager with Mcallister as assistant? is it just paper talk or do you think its on the cards?
Personally think it would be a good thing, and although a risk, so will most if not all appointments at moment.

could revitalise he club and the Scottish game.

Those two are better we currently have in midfield, even at their current age

I would welcome it, as it would give the SPL a boost and much needed higher profile. However, neither are going to accept a job like that for peanuts, so where are Rangers going to get the money to pay them, and also the players they'll need to sign, in order to realistically mount a title challenge to Celtic?

The last thing you want is to risk the club going bankrupt again, for the sake of trying to stop 10-in-a-row...

You can guarantee that if Rangers up the ante by appointing such a management team, so will Celtic (in terms of the players they'll sign), in order to remain at the top - and then you'll start a spending war, such as David Murray used to indulge in [remember the old 'If Celtic put down £5, I'll put down £10 bollocks?], and you know how that ended!

Default New Footy Season 2017/18 ..How's your team doing?

Apparently finances are available although I agree it needs to be a lot to entice them and it will have no guarantees. No idea where the finances are going to come from but if it's not outside investment then it's unlikely to be enough.

    Of course money guarantees nothing

Well no surprises today. Rangers again didn't turn up and Celtic won again easily. Congrats to them on the title win. Not to hard these days but you've still got to admire their consistency

Hoping someone puts a team together that can make a game of the league. Ger's should just pack it in if that's the best they can do
