Anyone who slags the F307, Mk.II Want's shagging up the botty, dis were one the best amps from the early '70's...56 dronga were lotta cutter back then.Rebuilt are pearlers. I was hoping to rebuild for the pork pie show for AOS room but it's gonna be next year now.
Yeah, we took Ferrograph back on right at the end of the 307's life and I thought it very good indeed, but a bit past it at the time - you know how fashions go.. the re-styled ones lacked the precision feel of the 307 though.
When I was looking for a headphone amp I thought of one of these, but looking at the cheapo electrolytics inside - loads of 'em - made me think twice if I was going to use one a lot, rather than just look at it in a collection...

The big one (60/60) was good sounding...

I know that feeling!
Blood sweat and tears, then sold due to being slightly mad (and having no space to listen to them at the time)!

The guy didn't even collect them for 3 months then he dissapeared off the face of the planet. Funny thing is, I still have the 2 pin mains leads for them! I wonder if they are even being listened to now. Very sad.

I used to have the Kharki colour version of that 'F308' (60/60) it was massive & weighed a ton, more circuit boards in it than mission control..The sliders were the weak part.. '60/60' was a whole different amp. more of an asthetic match to the Ferrograph 'Studio 8' open Reel (Not a Ferro built product btw)..The 'SFM1' tuner was not too bad..
