    Default Acoustic panels

    A pair of home made acoustic panels - approx 4' x 2' x 2.5".
Used to tame the reflections behind my dipoles but other half preferred a patterned cloth rather than plain calico. So hardly used.
Incorporates 2" thick insulation with a 10mm gap behind.
Light, easy to hang and do the job.
    £44 the pair.

You can see one behind the 'stat . . .

    Current kit :
Music library (FLAC) on IMac or streamed via Qobuz. Fed wirelessly to Raspberry Pi / Allo Digione and into Lyngdorf digital amplification. This handles room correction and drives a pair of Quad 2905 electrostatics.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Way too far for me to pick up, but if you don't mind saying, what insulation do they contain?

This is the best stuff for first reflection and mid acoustic insulation

Need to be covered in fabric though for some reflection.

As Jimbo says, R45 rockwool (50mm). Cover in plain calico.
Sadly they are a bit awkward tp post but i do get to Basingstoke and Poole areas now and again . . .
