Not sure if it's be to.your liking but Metallica - Black Album is thoroughly testing the Bass of my speakers lately. The new release of it is very well produced.

Our education is wrong, it takes no note of the subtleties of human nature, it places more importance on the memory of an individual than how memorable an individual is. Bernard Sumner 1995

An oldie but goodie and hi-fi show stalwart but John Martyn - Solid Air. The new Abbey Road half speed master is fabulous.

Five that I always return to are:

Marvin Gaye - What's Goin' On; Curtis Mayfield - There's No Place Like America Today; Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago; Alice Coltrane - Translinear Light and Burning Spear - Hail H.I.M.

Soul, jazz, Americana and reggae. If I was to choose a rock album then I would find it difficult to look past John Martyn, though he's not rock!
Main system: Sony TTS8000; AT1010; Audio Technica Art1; The Lentek; Cambridge 851n, Yamaha NS1000.
    System 2 - SBT; Technics SH-X1000 DAC; Denon PMA-850

I'm not sure your tastes, but if you want "Classic Rock", albums, here are my essential picks:

    Led Zeppelin IV

    Aerosmith Rocks

Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here

    Jimi Hendrix Experienced

    Rush 2112

I could think of at least a hundred more! But these would make the beginning of a, "Must Have", classic rock collection. IMHO of course.
