What is this - the moaning old duffers thread?

I'm 52, in August, and thankfully suffer from none of the conditions mentioned here; in fact I genuinely feel as good now as I did when I was 35! Especially now that I've lost weight and become fitter, from power-walking for six miles every day and also using an exercise bike

I don't need to wear glasses yet either (few grey hairs) and take no pills for anything. The only evidence so far of me growing old is a receding hairline! And that I can handle...

    As you were, granddads!

    Marco.
    Good on you!

The worst thing I ever did was get a desk job, I've been sitting on my arse all day for the last 4 years and it has taken its toll. I'm getting an exercise bike for my birthday next month, I'm looking forward to losing a bit of weight and getting fitter again.

The one thing I do have is a full head of thick hair, it doesn't count for much though

That's the key, Rich. Sitting on your arse all day, eating shit, is effectively condemning you [as in anyone with that sort of lifestyle] to an early grave! It's sooooo bad for you. Trust me, if you get on that bike and get fitter, and MOVE more and lose weight, most of your aches and pains will disappear
