Have asked Mike to bring his PMC speakers for the amp comparisons, not much point trying the amps in my active system, as a good idea of the attributes won't be had from just a part of the frequency range. Be easier to hear differences with a full range set of passive speakers.

Had a great day, as always Ali and Michelle are great hosts and kept us fed and watered-the home made curries were fantastic. Great meeting Chris and Mike in the flesh it good to meet similar folk passionate about music and hi fi.

As mentioned Colin and his good lady had kindly brought some of his EWA amps and cables to let us get a listen. I brought frugels and know how they sound with a variety of amps and cables-boy oh boy does Colins creations get something special out of them.

Had a great afternoon, great people/music/hi fi.

I will try a wee post of my impressions of the EWA kit.

Aye please do Tony. I thought they sounded great, but the speakers were unfamiliar to me, so difficult to give a considered opinion.

Ditto , had a great afternoon courtesy of a lift from Tony . Thanks to Ali and Michelle for their hospitality and a special thanks to Michelle for the delicious food and for writing down the recipe for the fantastic veggie curry .

It was also great to meet Colin and his missus .

Also great to meet Mike and Chris , two welcome additions to the Scottish Mafia

I took some pictures and will add them when I get the chance
