My parking was like 50p for 2hrs just to sign on what a shit system.

In 1988 my life took a steeper nose dive , Inca Tech was closed by me, I was homeless and no work and the state yet again came to the rescue and basically said piss of. I lived in a wreak of a car behind a bill board in Southend on Sea, no loo no wash facilities no food no heating, some of you have seen me I am now 6ft 4in and about 18 stone then I was 8 stone and a bag of bones. Thank God for kind people I did some washing up for Indian and Chinese restaurants and they rewarded me with food and often a place to wash, but this was normally on a Saturday. So all week I smelled like crap and was so hungry and tied, my health suffered and my heart was weaken, and it as got much worse this last F--K up 3 year by "54 51"
But I am not going to give in to mindless morons trying to control my life with rules that help them and there kind only, it is time we the peoples of earth stopped these criminals, we gave up trees and clubs years ago.

Rant over nothing will change, Trumps bombs might help to fix the world but us dead ones will care not.
Colin unless you have been there it's impossible to understand. What most people don't realise is that the state is actually against you. For every person milking it there are a thousand honest decent folk who just need help to get back on their feet or live with dignity if they are unable to. But like so many things the public has been brainwashed. You have a talent - this you must not forget.

sorry to hear this colin. I have recently spent nearly 3 months helping a disabled lady who has a lot of falls and is disabled . she was in same situation re pip and was very anxious . I have not yet had an update on how she got on but its not easy paying all the heating bills and all those other costs that one incurs when disabled . like maintaining a stair lift and paying for cleaners etc. I was pleased to be able to make her life easier in a number of ways .

one simple thing , was she was walking with a cup of coffee wobbling all over the place and spilling it all over floors as uneven floors . poor old cleaner had a wonderful time clearing it up . we thought what about using one of those flask type cups and such a simple thing has saved so much time

many have had the disability cars taken off them and its very sad when that happens . I hope things can be improved whoever gets into power
ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

A lovely post Phil, more power to you ! I think we are really feeling the affects now of the baby boomer generation getting on in years
and unfortunately the situation is only going to get worse.

This is some of the advise I have been given:-
And a comment from some medical staff which I do no agree with:- " All the patients we get coming complaining about PIP are all white" (a) now does this mean the others are happy? (b) or does this mean prejudice to the white minority here in the Borough of Newham? (c) or is there more white folk with unfit life style that cause disability ? (d) or are those on the scam ? any answers? My answers having lived here now for nearly 3 yrs is and seeing the life style of others is (c)

    The advice:-
    From Fred,
Hi Colin, here's some help for the next step in your battle. You have 28 days from the date on the decision letter to get your MR (Mandatory Reconsideration, the first stage of an appeal process) request in, or two weeks after they post out the medical report, whichever is later.
There's two ways to go. Either do the simplest letter for the Mandatory Reconsideration, hoping to get to the independent Tribunal appeal stage quickly, or do a thorough job of trashing their decision in the MR and providing more evidence that their decision was wrong, hoping for a positive MR.
It's always best, if there's time, to do your MR by letter. Keep a copy, NI number and name on every page. If you're pushing the deadline though, call them, keep a note of the time and date of the call, who you spoke to and what was agreed then follow up by letter.

Bear in mind that only 11% of MRs succeed, whereas at Tribunal the success rate is 70%.

First step on the journey is to get a copy of that medical report, ask for it in writing so you have a record. Then pull it to pieces, we have a great guide on how to do that here https://drive.google.com/open...
Benefits and Work full guide https://drive.google.com/open...

You need to show the decisionmaker where you should be awarded points according to the regulations and descriptors which you can find here:
    https://drive.google.com/open...
Only 11% of MRs are successful though now… whereas over 70% of Appeals find for us. A full job now will be included in the paperwork for Tribunal by the DWP, a simple letter followed by a negative MR means you'll have to do the full job for Tribunal.

I've adapted a template letter that you could use:
    Name:
    Date of birth:
    NINO:
    Date:
    Dear Sir/Ms,
    MANDATORY RECONSIDERATION REQUEST
I request that you reconsider your decision dated (the date on the decision letter) finding me ineligible for an award of Personal Independence Payment.

Please also send me a copy of the medical report you used to make your decision. (if you're going the MR fast track route and you haven't got it yet)

I consider that I provided enough evidence for a finding to be made that I am eligible for (here state what award you feel you should have)

I do not consider that the decision maker took full account of the severity of my condition or of the way that it affects my everyday activities and bodily functions.

(then this) I do not have any further evidence to add at this stage. I will present any new evidence to the Tribunal service if I need to appeal your mandatory reconsideration decision.

(or this) I wish to add the following evidence: (then list what you're sending them) and consider I should have scored (List descriptors and points you think you should have)

Important note: should I wish to withdraw this request I will only do so in writing. Under no circumstances will I withdraw this request verbally. If you speak to me on the telephone about this matter, nothing I say should be construed as a withdrawal unless and until it is confirmed in writing.

    Yours faithfully,

Include evidence from others to back you up like maybe three from the following:
    *Doctor's letter
*Patient Summary print out from the GP surgery - usually free
*Specialist letters - from their secretary or in your GP notes file. Ask specialists to copy you in to their reports to your GP
*Prescription list - will also be in your patient summary
    *Occupational Therapist report or letter
    *Social Care report or letter
*Photos of you in trouble and adaptations you've had to make to cope,
*Letters from people who know how your conditions affect you - family, friends, carers <<< very valuable <<<
*A diary of a week, or just a day in your life, showing how your illness stops you living normally <<<also great <<<
    Diary link:https://drive.google.com/open...
*A list of your symptoms - refer to symptom lists of your illness/es
*Proof you do internet shopping - keep the receipts
*Receipt from the Chemist for home delivery
*A timeline of your illnesses, work, and benefit claims.

If they refuse to change their decision on mandatory reconsideration, you then take your case to the tribunal service.

They don't like life to be simple for people do they? Best of luck getting this sorted Colin.

You don't have to get elected to have an impact on politics. I think UKIP have proved that.
Besides, not voting for a party because you think they won't win surely means we're stuck with the same old two parties forever.

This thread is not about what bully boy group is in power it is about the rights of people in-firmed and need help.
So Green, Nazi, Lab,Lib,Con or just Fred from the fish shop they just want power nothing to do with helping the people who pay them for help and support. Most could not organise a drowning in the sea without help from a Shark. And note they always say what you want to hear to get into power and your piggy bank. Beware of strangers bearing gifts it is most likely a scam. I got the "T" shirt with (54,51) on it already.

For someone/some organisation to be in a position to help in such matters they must first be in a position of power to be able to change things to offer that help!
