I find Musical Fidelity digital gear rather bright as in false detail, the Beresford new DACs not as bright. I would choose the Caiman 2 Short response but hope it helps.

If its any help I use a Musical Fidelity X DAC which is a big improvement on the Marantz built in jobbie. The bass is warmer and much more full and rich while the mid and treble are nice and clear but not harsh. The soundstage is wider and generally less clinical.

First off, I love how they look. Functional & clean.

Secondly they are a bitch to set up properly, I get good success from sticking 10p coins at the angles to sit the glass on, and then moving the spikes up to meet them + final tuning: you are looking for a clean 'bonnng' sound with no rattle.

Thirdly I think that they make things a bit more 'lively' and 'cohesive'.

And finally: don't try to use one of their Sound Tables with a non-suspended turntable! Wall mount is better.
