So you did get a bit of a bargain in the end. Good news!
The AV amp is from early nineties and so has no value as an AV amp nowadays, although it was an expensive one at the time. I'd say £100 tops, be very hard to shift it at any price I suspect.
Still the Yammies are sound and that's what matters.

You could have the Signifiers as the fronts and the Yams as the rears. That should move some air.
Amp is not AC3/Dolby Digital so you will only have Prologic. Still would be fun though.

A couple on the bay in nice nick.. asking £250 but unsold so less than that presumably. If its nice it will be a good standby amp to keep, especially if phono stage is decent and it might be

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".
“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Yep the whole worth of it, if any, will be in the 2 channel performance.

Jamie, that's excellent news that the Yammies are in full working order. To get the best from them, like any good speaker, you need to work on the setup. Replace the spring clip terminals and feed them with the best amp and source you can afford - enjoy.
