It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I have mine quite similarly set up though I suspect mind are very slightly more angled in. Mine are on taller and much more rigid stands than pictured though and tilted back by a couple of degrees.

    Congrats!
AV amps from the 90's are good land-fill, but not suitable to drive NS's
A reasonably beefy tube amp or a very refined solid state will make them sing.
I have yet to find any reason to change them even though i've had speakers 10 times their cost as guests. They are the way cheapest components in my main rig but still stand their ground against massive competition.

My stands are very rigid. 30cm which placed the midrange at ear height based on my seating position.

Sorry if any confusion, the stands I was referring to are the ones Jamie has pictured.

    You've obviously never tried a Yamaha DSP-A1!

Similarly, I have mine about seven feet apart, toed in 20 degrees or so, raised about 40cm and angled up ever so slightly. Near field listening at its best.

No confusion. I really like the look of Jamie's stands. I don't know what difference a more rigid stand makes but that's always been what I've gone for. Normally there are plenty about second hand.

None that I felt were adequate which is why I built my own.
