It's ideology and idealists I take a stance against. Don't care from what side of politics it comes from. For example I favour water, power and rail to be nationally owned. Not because I am a socialist or because of ideological reasons but because it makes obvious sense. And I won't be intimidated into not saying what I think.

No worries, and in terms of the last bit, quite right. I'd defend to the death everyone's right to free speech in this country.

I feel *exactly* the same way about expressing my views on government corruption, centuries of unjust Westminster rule, and the nefarious [often immoral] activities of the royals and the elite!

If I had the power to do so, I'd end it all instantly, and force them all to donate their collective fortunes to charity.

Exact opposite here. I care only for idealism. Without ideals we have nothing to aim for in trying to improve things for the majority, we have no vision of how things should be and could be. Redistribution of wealth back from those who looted it from the working man is very important to me. The biggest crime is the existence of homelessness and food banks in such a rich country as the UK. Pensioners freezing in winter time, nurses having to use food banks and countless hundreds of thousands having to worry if they will eat everyday this week, never having even a weekend break, never mind a holiday, in decades, worrying if they will have to pawn something etc to pay the next bill etc. Alive but not much of a life. Taking back a third of the wealth of the richest 1% would easily end all this.... the ones with a Ferrari for each day of the week, an ocean going yacht and six mansions in different countries... no one needs to have that sort of money and for this to be extant whilst others suffer for the immediate lack of a tenner to buy food is in my view criminal.

I don't really need to say it again, Jez, but when it comes to this stuff, you and I are singing from *exactly* the same hymn sheet!

And Corbyn's got a damn sight better chance of delivering what's needed, in that respect, than May!!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Which is why we need an idealist like Corbyn, who is hopefully ideologically above being bought off, to deliver... and for the many not the few.
