    I'm Eamonn.

    Default Introduction

    Hi,
I've been into HiFi for about 30 years now and it's taken me a long time and money to reach the point I'm at now.
I currently own an Accuphase E470 amp, Electrocompaniet EMC1UP CDP, Audiolab M DAC+ and Harbeth SHL5+ speakers.
As much as I love HiFi, it's the music that's my real passion. I'm mainly into acoustic based music... Folk, Country, Indie, a smattering of Jazz and Electronica.
I write a blog on a regular basis featuring quite a cross section of artists, if you're interested please visit www.realmusicnet.wordpress.com

    Hello Eamonn. Welcome to AOS.

That's an interesting selection of equipment you are using.

Tell us what future plans if any you may have for your system.

Feel free to join in the chat, there's a lot going on.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Thanks for the welcome.
I don't have any immediate plans to change any of my kit. Perhaps later on I might trade in the SHL5+ for the new anniversary range.
