I'm Simon.
My childhood was often spent tape recording all the bond films as they were on the tv, and pausing the adverts out. Remember that. I used to like Roger best because of the humour and it was of my era. I wish Bond wasn't so serious as it is now.
I loved the spy who loved me and the man with the golden gun, and when in Thailand visited scaramangas island in phang nga. The mushroom rock with the sun antenna and the beach at the start where the Bond girl is sunning herself.
I think Roger Moore would have been a fantastic dinner guest. I remember someone pointing out his big chalet when I was in crans Montana in Switzerland skiiing, where he lived most of the year.
Can't believe the BBC haven't made more of news about him but obviously bigger stories today. I hope they do a good programme because we've surely lost a national treasure today. RIP Sir Roger Moore.
Just been watching him in 'The Persuaders' on True Entertainment channel.
They should do a season or at least a retrospective thingy.
Current Lash Up:
TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.
I liked Roger Moore. His natural humour always showed in his acting. He was a pretty good bloke in his private life too.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
