    All interesting stuff this.

    Looking at it though and coming as I once did from the commercial world I cannot imagine anyone (clientwise) sanctioning the time much less the money to to this commercially.

    As a monkey (engineer - now called an op) you would be yelled at, threatened and viilified for anything you tried to add to a session through physical editing - I just don't understand who would pay for such operations now when one can use a computer now and to much greater effect.

    "Ops" in studios typically earn around £1500 - £2100.......a YEAR!

    Tape Op (monkey in the UK) is no longer a recognised skill.

    I did this Udemy course a couple of years ago and found it useful just for DIY knowledge
