The best tuner I've heard by a country mile, and the Aiwa AT-9700 that preceded it was no slouch!

Mine came from the BBC. It was used in Broadcasting House to monitor the quality of transmissions.
Was once keen to hear one of those Aiwa's but I couldn't, when I was interested, find one in nice enough condition to buy.
    Regards Neil

I would agree with Arkless.... the McIntosh is probably better if you have deep pockets.

The rest of the kit..... just for interest. (Photo)

However, keep looking for a Dynalab FM..... you will never regret it.

+ 500 tuners are worth it..... if it's the right one...

    FM can be stunning !!

    Happy days

    Peter

I too have a Magnum Dynalab FT101, and of all the gear I own, it's the one piece I'll never part with. It makes FM sound like a high end source! And I only paid $300USD used, seems a lot of used ones around? And it works well, with the 3 precision tuning meters and switches for tweaking the signal, it is a pleasure to use.

Just in case you do ever get a Dynalab 101, I have a Dynalab system sleuth.... in mint condition in case you are in an area of hard too get fm signals... a marriage made in heaven... (not needed in this area).

    You know it make sense
