Default Wanted: Garrard 401 motor unit

I feel another Garrard coming on .. to complement the Thorens and the Lenco and refresh my memory.

I have a few plinth ideas and a useful high mass arm sitting idle ...

Anyone got one kicking around idle? (if you pardon the pun). I don't mind if I need to take it along the M4 to Loricraft for a service.

    Ali,

Have you decided to let go of the 401, which I sent you a few months ago?

    Best wishes,

    Charlie

    Hi Charlie,

    No definitely not! :-)

I will be keeping that, the one I've offered to Tom is the unit I already had.

The NOS one will be going to Loricraft for a full service.

I have a fully refurbished 401 with a new gun metal grey finish, Tom. The paint job was professionally done in N. Ireland. Martin did the strip down, clean and lubrication.

I have a fully refurbished one for sale as well, with an unused since refurb bearing. All done by Dominic Harper at NWA and in excellent condition.

Very nice 401 this one, seen and heard it many times, could be tempted myself tbh.
