My otp is awaiting pick-up from the post office tomorrow. I'll be able to compare it to my angle audio unit when I get it up and running.

I'll look forward to that. The OTP really is a fantastic phono stage.

Thanks for the write up Oliver. I assume all were compared using with MC carts.

Would there be such a difference with a good MM cart do you think?
As I use a 2M Black I am not sure how much difference there would be.

    You're welcome!

The Cartridge used was a VDH Linn MC. I am unsure of the specific model.

The TT was a bog standard Lenco 75.

The FB range are switchable between MM/MC.

The Tron is available as a MM or MC stage.

The 2M cart is a very good cart and I'd be surprised if you didnt hear a difference in phono stages.

Given the retail on the Tron, there can't be a great deal of that going on the SUT's. It would seem to make sense for them to sell a cheaper model without them..
There are times when you canít do the sensible thing, when you canít act like a responsible adult at all; you just have to do whatever insane thing comes into your head. When bad people do it they end up murderers, when good people do it they end up heroes, and when the rest of us do it we end up looking like total idiots. But whenís that ever stopped us?

Alan and I felt that seeing as there was only £100 difference between the MM and MC versions, not enough had been spent on the SUTs. Its still a very good phono stage though. The opposition was just better.

Yep, still happy with my two box FB. Need to hear how it compares to the Vivant though.

It doesn't to be fair Ali, The Vivant is well ahead on all fronts 😢 I wish it was closer because I can almost afford a FB-Plus lol
