Yesh, but the rule now is that you only wash them if the 'crust' formed on the outside remains intact after impact!
So I presume that some 'bits' broke off, including the outer shell?

Yeah. Sun came out for half an hr so i took chance to go get bird seed and suchlike. Got caught in the rain just after i got it out of car lol. Soaked. Very grey now here. Plenty food for the birds now tho.Sorry to hear that mate... It's a bugger when that happens!
