You may like a play with 'tinypic' too, it could be less hassle than Photobucket: http://tinypic.com/ It's free and requires no account. It works well as long as you can tolerate the advertising thrust at you.
Also, if you don't have an image editor to crop photos, adjust sharpness, lighting and colours etc., you could find Faststone Image Viewer handy: http://filehippo.com/download_faststone_image_viewer/ This is also free and works extremely well.
I've been using both for years.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
