John Coltrane and Giant Steps. I'll have some of that anyday.

Love the system, and especially the Tracey Emin inspired "sofa/cushions/covers" look.
The floor looks a bit too tidy. No worn underwear you could casually leave lying around?

    Hope you are all well.
Thanks Brian. Just ordered a Yusuf Lateef boxed set. Must be something in the air!

Donald Byrd is a big fan of a young trumpet player called Theo Croker who is well worth checking out

Hope you and your family are all well.

John Coltrane, Yusef Lateef, Sonny Rollins........................

    I see a trend emerging.

This feels like more than a "moment". An Epiphany, perhaps.

a recognition of the importance of the Tenor sax in the world order.

Come on in, my friend, there is a whole world awaiting you.

There's a Monk boxed set arriving too though Brian so not just the sax. I'm a long time lover of Alice Coltrane too so a bit of harp, piano and oud thrown in!

    No, No resist.

the tenor sax..... it is the way forward. dont stray.

On the other hand, if you are lucky, there will be some Charlie Rouse or George Barrow in the Monk stuff. Barrow, in particular, is a hidden gem

Nothing wrong with a bit of Monk. Or a bit of Alice Coltrane as well.

Might I suggest 'Hunting Ashram Monastery' (Impulse As 9185), as well as the beautiful final track on John Coltrane's 'Cosmic Music' (Impulse MIPL 515)

Talking of Monk - how about investigating the collaboration with Mulligan - 'Monk and Mulligan'.

And whilst we are on the "M"s, there is Mingus to discover .... .
