I wonder what they would say if you asked them to play something you brought with you? A pretty reasonable request really isn't it?

    Trios and Basshorns

The only horns there with any dynamics to speak of. And indeed they really are dynamic, especially with 3 basshorns.

In the same room as 2011 again they only had one set of basshorns then.

Dynamics were way 'up there' when they were being used as a PA system.I have a 10 minute UHD video of the drummer but will spare you all it. It did a pretty good job as a PA system.

When playing The Wall on vinyl it was not so good as you could easily hear the limitations of vinyl on such a revealing system. When on digital it did sound fab on electronic stuff. They can go effortlessly loud.

There's quite a bit of bite to the sound but good bite if that makes any sense. That keeps it interesting.

Like the Tune Audio room they were stuck in a repeat loop for the material they played. But the stuff they did play was complex, whereas the simple mixes going through the Tune Audio falls straight into Macca's earlier point

The video doesn't sound great sonically. But it was good there. Really.

Really like some of the Thomas Meyer kit. A couple of videos too, the 2nd one showing the camera fault I talked about earlier. Annoying but hey.

Do you get much chance at Munich to play CDs or even have your own choice of streamed file from TIDAL etc?
I get the impression from many comments made that you are stuck with whatever the demmers have already decided is on their playlist?
I.e. - can show goers choose the music?

Yeah sure you can - here's an example but not a great video. Even on expensive kit. I got Yellp played through the Tune's.

    Ah, good!
Then why is there so much whingeing about the music played?

    Kondo and Kawero.

Not amazing merely OK really. Considering the cost not OK. Could do better with more deserving speakers. And valves. Super cheap Chinese 211s and JJs. WTF? Kondo go take a look at the valves being used in the Silbertone room.

The only Kondo video of 4 without the camera fault.

Cos generally people haven't got the bollocks to get up and ask for it. In some rooms you will get a flat no, though.
