Why does so much 'high-end' hi-fi have to be so freekin' blingy...?

    Marco.

.... I'd rather that than the fugly Thoress gear.

    Urgh, that is genuinely awful.

Isn't it wonderful how tastes differ!

... I'm not sure I'd be seen dead in your fancy Merc, either!

OK, if I were a successful drugs dealer in central Liverpool, then sure.

That's the same thought that crossed my mind when I saw it. Then I realised it was the photo backdrop that gives the whole thing a 'busy' appearance. It would look better with a plain background.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Regardless of the styling and the cosmetics of the gear shown, I'm very impressed by the quality of your photographs Justin. What camera are you using?

    Cheers

Yep, the wife and I were discussing the same sort of subject the other day and we decided that neither of us had really outgrown our student days at university (which is where we met).
Still sloppy, slobby kids at heart.

I rather like the utilitarian 'sixties' look of it.

I'd pay at least £45 for something that looked like that!

I'm not hugely taken by the Einstein look, but I'd be happy enough to own it - but I literally wouldn't buy that Thoress stuff because of its looks. It's just so depressing.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Many people hate the looks of the old Quad 57s - I love them. You, obviously, love the look of your MBLs - I don't. Suum cuique

Regarding the Thoeress gear, it does look a bit like the old Heathkit gear of the '60s, but it's a utilitarian look I quite like.
