Just wanted to give a heads up to some fantasticlly well crafted documentary films that have very limited release
here in the UK.
First up - Swedish director Kasper Collin’s I Called Him Morgan
the tragic story of the short lived career and life of the young Blue Note artist, Trumpeter, Lee Morgan.

Second up - and not second in rating, is the beautiful film about the mighty John Coltrane, Chasing Trane:
Directed by John Scheinfeld.

I can only say both documentary films are of top quality film making and passionately
thoughtfully and beautifully original. A real treat.
I'm not a film critic, I don't have the vocabulary or writing skills to lament endlessly about each piece.

All I can say that such great things HAVE to be seen on the large screen with decent cinema sound, do not wait for Netflicks or such.
Get out and see them. Literally they will be on screen very selected Art houses in the UK for about a week. They may already have gone...
